Over at Scrap that Poetry we have our first poem up for March and it's a ripper!!!! It's the very gorgeous "Oh the places you'll go!" You may know it from the Dr Seuss story book, but the girls have used it in so very many different ways....it's amazing!
Here is my take on the poem....
I chose this photo of my gorgeous cherub Noah! When I saw this was our poem I was thrilled as it suits him and our way of viewing life for Noah absolutely perfectly. ( A little history for those of you who may not know...Noah is now 7 and has started school this year. He was born with Down Syndrome and also has mild Autism. Over the past 7 years we have certainly had our challenges, but they are far outweighed by the extraordinarily wonderful moments we have each day. We don't know what the future will hold for Noah or the path life will take him on, but I know he is such an amazing special little boy, and has the most wonderful places to go!) The photo depicts him on his very first kindergarten excursion last year. Which he just LOVED :) I chose to highlight the heading and wrote the first verse around the circle with the photo which reads...." Congratulations! Today is your day. You're off to Great Place! You're off and away!
So if you're looking for a creative challenge head on over to STP and play along!
Well my week of blogging at Kaisercrafties has come to an end and your hosts for this week are Fran and Sam. Both girls are spectacular artists in their own right and have posted some absolutely stunning pieces already. Be sure to pop over and have a little stickie! Here are some of my other pieces from last week!
This layout featured the very beautiful Devonshire Paper Collection in our post on multiple photo layouts. Mine was a double page and Christine's was a single.
my journalling.....
and my flowers....
My next layout used the Gypsy Paper collection. Initially I was a bit unsure of this range until I began working with it and I think it is just stunning. This layout was for our post "Step back in time" and I chose a photo of my sister and I from the 70's. I love how this layout came together.
See that pattern on the burgundy paper. I made that using the Gypsy acrylic stamps and some embossing powder.....
Well, that's about it for now. Will pop back again soon with my BTP Journal, Memo Box and my Stamping layout. Thanks for stopping by!
Oh Nik I love that layout of Noah!! The little plane and buttons are a perfect touch! And of course your KC layouts are stunning!! Renee and I are up this week---eeeek :/
