Welcome to our first 2009 Newsletter. l hope you've all had a lovely Christmas and New Year break. If you're anything like me, you will have loads of holiday photos to scrapbook.
We look forward to sharing lots of ideas and projects with you in 2009.
The Shop has been keeping me extremely busy, and I am finding that I don't seem to have the extra time that I did before. So to make life a little easier, l have made a few changes to benefit us all - keeping in mind that we will still end up with quality rather than quantity.
Newsletter - We will only have 1 main Newsletter a month, with a couple of updates for new products or sales.
Monthly Packs - This year we thought we would try something a little different with the Monthly Packs. Instead of having the usual $35.00 pack, we have decided to focus more on a Monthly Pack Project. It may be an Off The Page project, Cardmaking Kit, or just a series of layouts. The cost of each pack will depend on the amount of products used in the kits, and as we have a lot of customers that only have either boys or girls, we will also consider releasing two different packs in a Boy and in a Girl theme.
Crop Night - We will now have 2 Crop Nights a month, which will be held on the 1st and 3rd Friday of each Month. These will begin at 7pm, and will cost $5.00 per person, and includes Tea, Coffee and Refreshments. Our 1st Crop Night for 2009 will be held on Friday 20th February. (sorry, but l don't think my husband would be too pleased if l held a Crop Night on the 6th Feb, it being our Wedding Anniversary) So, l'll look forward to catching up with those of you attending the Crop on the 20th. Please don't forget to book as places are limited, and we need to know in advance who is attending for set up preparations.
Shop - One of the main changes we will be making is for our Shop hours. We are pleased to announce that due to customer demand, we will now be trading on Fridays, commencing from February 13th.

Nikki has also used the papers to create this gorgeous layout.
Styling Tip:
* Using strips of paper in layers allows you to use up all of the offcuts from your patterened paper and create an interesting feature on your page. For added detail, use a black gel pen to doodle around the edges of each strip and the outside edge of the page.
Don't forget to pre-order your kit now so you don't miss out. Our February Monthly Pack will be available from the first week in February. Please note that you will have to renew your subscription if you would still like to receive these special packs each month.
Christmas Layout Inspiration - I know that most of you will be looking for some Christmas layout ideas with all of your Christmas photos, so here are a couple of ideas.

Angel - By Nikki Antonello
Products Used - Kaisercraft Wish Upon Papers and Brads, Kindy Glitz, Dimentional Magic, Cardstock, Basicgrey Chipboard Letters
Styling Tip:
Hidden journalling is a great way to write down lots of detail or to add information to a layout without having to compromise the overall look of your page. Add a scalloped edge to your pullout piece and cover with contrasting paper for added interest.

Products Used - Three Bugs in a Rug - Playtime Paper Range, Rhinestones, Embellishments, Chipboard Letters, Rub-ons, Flowers
Styling Tip:
* Tearing is a great way to add texture and depth to your patterned paper background. Use the edge of your scissors to give a similar distressed look and fold down torn sections to reveal the pattern on the other side for an extra effect.
Cherish - By Michelle Rogers
Products Used - Kaisercraft Waterberry Paper Range, Rhinestones, Flowers, RW Cherish Chipboard Word, Paint, Dimentional Magic, White Gel Pen
It's All about the Cake - By Nikki Antonello
Products Used - Fancy Pants The Daily Grind - Sparkle Paper, Bazzill Cardstock, Chipboard Letters, Rub-ons, Paint, Dimentional Magic
Styling Tip:
This layout is a great ways to use up lots of multiple photos or photos about a particular event. To continue the clean look of the page, I added the journallling around the outside edge. Just cut up small strips of patterned paper, write a word for each square and outline each piece with black gel pen.
